VII. HISTORY
Florian and his sister, Finriel, were taken from their small- already shrinking- herd at a young age by a cult of demons(The term for a group of demons in Grim's mind), mainly because with the decline of pure souls and innocence in the modern world, and because of the Unis were being hunted actively by other mythological creatures, because of the magic held in their very being, witches using their horns as wands and so on. The Demons, more specifically their leader, Cyreis, used the two young creatures as portable magical batteries in esence,  serving to boost the demon's powers greatly and give large amounts of energy. Somehow, against all odds, the siblings managed to escape six or so years (As far as they know, time wasn't entirely someting they could keep track of) of constnt abuse, leaving them both mentally and physically scarred. After much running, the two ended up in an alleyway, cowering behind  dumpster and the end of the alley, cornered by a small group from the cult, only for a woman to slam the door of the hospital open, pegging one of the devil's in the face. Seeing Finriel and FLorian dirtied, bloody, and on death's doorstep, her lioness instincts kicked in, and she fought off the hunting party before bundling the two up in hospital blankets and putting them into her car. Upon reaching her home, she cleaned the two children up, only able to glean the names of the nervous and untrusting 13 and 12 year olds. Okoya elected to take the two in, assisting the two in any way possible- they were her cubs now after all, if only magical, skittish horse cubs. Fast forward a few years, Flora and Finn are rather happilly going through their own schooling, each with their own skills and faults,their wounds still healing even though normally, wounds of those extent would never heal, thanks to their kind's rejuvination.  Flora however still having lost most of the use of his heavily burned arm, which will take decades to heal, the same going with Finn's legs.
